About Token Boost

Token Boost is an independent cryptocurrency publication built around one test: can a reader finish an article and actually do the thing it describes?

That sounds obvious. Most crypto coverage fails it. The bulk of what gets published is written for people who already trade all day and already know the vocabulary — it reports that something happened without ever explaining what a reader might do about it. Ours is written for people with a specific job in front of them: work out whether a mining rig pays for itself, choose a wallet that matches how much they actually hold, or understand why a coin dropped eleven per cent while they were asleep.

What that means in practice

Articles answer their own headline in the first paragraph. If a piece is called “is mining still profitable at home”, the answer appears before the history of proof-of-work, not after nine hundred words of throat-clearing.

Numbers come with the assumptions that produced them. Every profitability figure we publish is reproducible in our calculator using the inputs stated in the article. That is a real constraint on us: if a claim cannot be reproduced from published inputs, it does not go in.

And where a question has no clean answer, we say so. A great many market moves have no tidy cause, and an outlet that always has an explanation is telling you something about its editorial process rather than about the market.

Mining is our differentiator and where we put the most effort, because it is the part of crypto that most rewards actual arithmetic and receives the least of it. Covering it properly means understanding hardware efficiency curves, electricity tariff structures, pool fee models and the difficulty adjustment — and being willing to tell a reader that the machine they are about to buy will lose them money.

Our hardware coverage leads with efficiency in joules per terahash rather than headline hashrate, because efficiency is what decides which machines are still running after a downturn. Software coverage compares clients on the four things that actually differ rather than on feature-list length. Cloud mining gets a sceptical treatment because the arithmetic is usually against the buyer.

We tell you this directly because the alternative is worse. The common practice in this sector is to invent a name, write a plausible biography, attach a stock or synthesised face, and let readers assume a person stands behind it. That is the practice this rebuild exists to get away from, and we would rather be plainly what we are than quietly imitate what we are not.

What the personas do carry is accountability. Each desk has published standards, a public archive you can hold it to, and a stated position on what it will and will not do. Independence
