How Token Boost uses affiliate links, what we earn, where they appear, and the rules that keep commission out of editorial decisions and rankings.
The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to buy something, we may receive a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not change what we recommend or the order we recommend it in.
Where they appear
Mainly in hardware guides, wallet reviews and exchange comparisons — the articles where a reader is actively choosing between products. Any article containing affiliate links carries a disclosure box above the body text, not buried at the foot where nobody reads it.
The rules we hold ourselves to
- We do not rank by commission rate. Rankings follow the criteria stated in each article, and those criteria are published in the piece so you can check the reasoning against the result.
- We do not accept payment for a positive review or for a place in a list. Not as a flat fee, not as a higher rate, not as a “featured” slot.
- We do not run gambling, casino or betting affiliate content in any form.
- We do not use affiliate links in safety content. Articles about scams, self-custody and security carry none, because a commission incentive has no business anywhere near advice about protecting your funds.
- We recommend products with no affiliate programme when they are the right answer, and say when that is the case.
Why we do it this way
Affiliate revenue is the main reason independent publications can cover this sector without taking money from the companies they write about. It is also the most common way that coverage quietly becomes advertising. The rules above are what separate the two, and they only mean anything if they hold when a well-paying partner is the weaker product — which is the situation they exist for.
Advertising
Display advertising is sold separately and advertisers have no input into editorial. No advertiser sees an article before publication. We do not run interstitials, autoplay video, or ads on safety content.
If we get it wrong
If you find an affiliate link that is not disclosed, tell us at editorial@token-boost.com. We will fix it and add a correction note. See also our editorial guidelines and avertissement.
